Every girl has a Right to Be educated

“If you want to lift up humanity, empower women. It is the most comprehensive, pervasive, high-leverage investment you can make in human beings.”

Girls’ Scholarship Programs

The need for girls scholarships is great. Currently GAM has a total of 30 girls receiving scholarships through two scholarship programs : One for One (14 students) and Right to Be (16 students). The girls in our scholarship programs come from family backgrounds characterized by poverty and households often led by single mothers. Yet the girls are amazingly resilient, ambitious, and academically successful . The girls know they are very fortunate to have received a scholarship. They realize it has given them a great opportunity to obtain an education, career opportunities, and potentially move out of the confines of poverty.

The girls in our scholarship programs have succeeded at every level. We have recorded a 100% graduation success rate for students graduating from secondary and post-secondary school. Read about the girls amazing academic success in our Annual Reports.
