Section 1 - GAM college and university students
Section 2 - Single mothers of GAM students
Section 3 - Vulnerable families
How the auction will work
Bidding Bidding will open for 10 days. A minimum bid and incremental bid amounts will be listed for each item. All bids will be updated daily online with bidders initials. We will be including instructions on how to place your bid and make a payment. Any bid amount that is above cost (minimum bid price) will be tax deductible.
Items Details about each item will be listed including size, material, and traditional name. All items are made in Kenya.
Shipping Items will be shipped once the auction has concluded. Shipping cost is included in minimum bid price.
Funds All funds raised from the sale of paintings will be used to support GAM students in college or university. Funds from craft sales will be used to assist single mothers of GAM scholarship students with small businesses. Funds raised from the cooking classes will be used to support vulnerable families in Nairobi.

Original Paintings
Paintings shown below are original works created by Bestine, a GAM college graduate. Items include works depicting Kenyans in traditional clothing, as well as paintings of modern art design.
The mat borders and watermarks have been added for presentation. The original paintings are more vibrant in colour than the digital copies below.

Section 2:
Kenyan Crafts
Warm Shuka Blankets worn by the Maasai, a semi-nomadic ethnic group.
Kenyan Kikoy, traditionally worn by Swahili people living along the Indian Ocean. It can be used as beach wrapper, shawl, table runner, wall hanging.
Kenyan baskets made of sisal traditionally stained with dye derived from roots and bark. They are made by the Akamba ethnic group of the Eastern province.
Soapstone carvings traditionally made by Kisii ethnic artisans living in the Nyanza region, near Lake Victoria in western Kenya.

Section 3:
Live Cooking Classes
Enjoy engaging with Pastor Joseph and his dear wife Anne online as they make traditional Kenyan & Ugandan food. They invite you to “come and enjoy a life changing meal!”
This 1 hour class will be live, giving you the opportunity to engage with the hosts. Funds raised will be used to support vulnerable families in Embakasi, Nairobi. Space is limited.
